The program was arranged on 10th February 2010 for NDS students to share their problems and concerns with Dr.Vasishta and learn ways to build their skills and break the barriesr between the deaf and hearing world. |

Making Idols Happen! Ruma Roka sharing her emotions on the occasion of IBN7 ‘Super Idols’ Awards Ceremony at Taj Lands End on 19th January 2010. The awards were declared in celebration of India’s 60 years of independence by IBN7 in partnership with Bajaj Allianz and Dainik Bhaskar. Ruma Roka was felicitated at the hands of Aamir Khan under the ‘Idol Maker’ for her efforts of empowering the Deaf. |

Artful Revelations The Dtp Graphic Design batch of NDS visited the National Gallery of Modern Art on 3rd December 2009 and got in touch with the modern art forms. The visit was arranged to give exposure to these students and help them get familiar with the creativity involved in art. |

Breaking Barriers A. S. Narayanan, G.S. of the National Association of Deaf, addressing NDS students in a workshop organised on 19th November 2009. He spoke on the topic 'The Correct Attitude of Deaf for being Successful in Life and at Work'. NDS also invited Dr.Surinder Randhawa and Dr.Dilip Deshmukh to address the parents of our deaf students and create awareness about Deaf life and sign language orientation. |

About 20 students attended this Industrial Overview workshop wherein the possible profiles suitable for the Deaf in the Industry were discussed. The workshop was conducted by Mr.Dinkar Devgan, and Ms. Raghuvinder Gambhir. |
